I have pulled the trigger on my plans to go to BookExpo America in NY at the end of this month. It's an annual gathering for the publishing industry, and this will be the first time I've gone. I am excited to go for a number of reasons - first, to check out new books and authors; second, to meet some of the publishing people I've been in touch with over the last few years; and third, because there are some very cool book blogger activities happening at the show. Book Club Girl is hosting a panel of book bloggers, featuring some of the bloggers I follow, and Fran Toolan of Firebrand Technologies is doing a series of "blogger signings" at his booth, where book bloggers can hang out and meet publishers and other book bloggers. I have a time slot for my "signing," which I am sharing with Stephanie from Stephanie's Written Word (!) and Jay Franco from Bookrastination. (If you're there, come by Booth 4077 at 4 PM on Saturday 5/30).
I am really excited to go to BookExpo America and will report back!
About Me
I have been blogging about books here at Everyday I Write the Book since 2006. I love to read, and I love to talk about books and what other people are reading.
