I don't have a review to post tonight, but I am in the middle of two good books and hope to have some reviews up this week. The first is I'd Know You Anywhere, by Laura Lippman, which is a crime/psychological thriller (so unlike me!) that I am listening to on audio. It's very engaging, and the audio is going so much faster than Sag Harbor did. I realize that makes no sense – I can't actually listen any faster – but I am much more engaged and rapt than I was with the last book. I'd love to jump ahead with the paper version, which I also took out of the library, but I want to savor it.
I am also reading Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English, by Natasha Solomons, which I am reading for the From Left to Write Book Club. Reviews are due tomorrow, but I am a little behind and won't be able to finish the book by tomorrow. I keep leapfrogging over The False Friend by Myla Goldberg – not sure why. Has anyone read it and should I stop procrastinating?
Finally, I want to announce the lucky winners of the new paperback version of Susannah Gora's You Couldn't Ignore Me If You Tried – Amber and Laurie! Thanks to everyone who entered.
About Me
I have been blogging about books here at Everyday I Write the Book since 2006. I love to read, and I love to talk about books and what other people are reading.
