I haven’t posted for two weeks. Crazy! It’s the 18th! What is going on???
I am in a reading slump. I have no idea why. I am surrounded – literally – by books that I am excited to read. I am in fact in the middle of three books that I am really enjoying! For whatever reason, I am having trouble reading. Pandemic fatigue, new rescue dog in the house, kids back in school, TikTok addiction… who knows what the reason is. I just can’t make much traction with the books I am reading. Hopefully I’ll snap out of it soon. I have some catching up to do!
For the record, here is what I am reading:
The Bad Muslim Discount by Syed Masood
Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad
Who Gets In And Why by Jeffrey Selingo
I am, however, podcasting with Nicole! We have kicked off March Madness – the annual event where we narrow down 16 books we’ve read in common to decide which one is the best. The first round of matchups will air next week. We also just aired our Spring Preview episode.
Do you have any tips for getting out of a reading slump? Please share!
About Me
I have been blogging about books here at Everyday I Write the Book since 2006. I love to read, and I love to talk about books and what other people are reading.
