I am here. I am alive. I just haven’t finished any books lately. I am reading Jennifer Haigh’s new story collection, News from Heaven, and liking it a lot. My daughter has also asked me to read her favorite book, Wendy Mass’s The Candymakers, which is very long. So I am sort of crawling through both of them. I am also trying to see Oscar movies, since the awards are less than 2 weeks away and I have a pool c0-champion title to defend. And the baby isn’t sleeping as well as he used to, which makes me tired and causes me to fall asleep earlier at night.
All of that has meant NO POSTS TO DATE IN FEBRUARY. Quelle horreur!
I’ve gotten some good review copies in the mail, though, which I will hopefully get to someday soon:
- Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes
- The History of Us, by Leah Stewart
- There Once Lived A Girl Who Seduced Her Sister’s Husband, And He Hanged Himself, by Ludmilla Petrushevskaya
And I just bought this book, which is by a Brown alum (because I really needed another book):
- The Little Bride, by Anna Solomon
So please bear with me. I will be back soon, with something real to say.
About Me
I have been blogging about books here at Everyday I Write the Book since 2006. I love to read, and I love to talk about books and what other people are reading.
