Thanks for the comments of support for my declaration of book bankruptcy. I appreciate knowing that I am not alone!
Just to show that I am serious, here's what I did today:
- Recycled 4 unread NYT Book Reviews, including the "Summer Reading" issue
- Unsubscribed from Shelf Awareness emails
- Declined about 6 review copy offers from my gmail account.
- Deleted a Politics & Prose weekly email without reading it.
- Deleted the Simon & Schuster book club email without reading it.
This is painful stuff.
